A belated Happy 2017 to all our loyal customers. We’ve been so busy on the farm, that we have hardly noticed we’re into February already!

Christmas seems to be a distant memory, yet it’s a time to reflect and start planning for the year ahead.  It’s a time when we are humbled by the kind letters and messages we received from so many of our customers, about the turkey they purchased from us.  As a family, we are pleased to play a small part in making that festive occasion all the more special. Even before Christmas, we were cleaning out the turkey yards and laying out the fresh straw for the sheep, which started coming in from the fields.

During January we housed all of our ewes, and on the 1st February we welcomed our first lambs of the season.  After a steady start we’re now in full flow, with lots of lambs being born every day.  We have also had 4 calves born from our Red Poll herd, which is very exciting!

The Next Big Event is our Lambing Days. If you’re looking for a fun family day out, starting the end of March and throughout April we’ll be welcoming a host of families to the farm.

Visitors can hold the lambs and see a modern sheep farm at work. With over 2000 sheep to give birth, it’s a great chance to see lambs actually being born, taking those first few steps and suckling their mothers for the first time.
